Magnum Trailer Launches
The roots of Magnum Trailer go all the way back to 1984 when Bob and Ted Willock purchased P&K Welding and from it created a new company, Magnum Trailer.

First Trailer
In spring of 1984 the first trailer is built by Magnum at the original Abbotsford location. This trailer required an innovative solution to a customer challenge which has become a hallmark of Magnum Trailer. Pictured is one of the first Magnum Trailers built.

1984 In Review
1984 had many incredible moments and debuts, including ours! Ghostbusters, Temple of Doom, Gremlins, and The Karate Kid topped the box office, Purple Rain spent the most time on the Billboard Top 100 followed by Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the Footloose soundtrack and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA.

New Location
In 1990, Magnum required a new site to fit the increasing needs of both the trailer and service departments. A new suitable location was found nearby on Riverside Road in Abbotsford.

1990 in Review
1990, an unforgettable year. Home Alone dominated the Box Office, the 49ers won the most lopsided Super Bowl in history, Buster Douglas did the unthinkable by knocking out Mike Tyson, the Berlin Wall fell, and Magnum Trailer achieved 100% market share for port trailers on the West Coast of Canada.

Magnum Service Repeater Sheds
Magnum Service was hired to create specialty “repeater” sheds to extend communications over long distances in remote areas.

1996 In Review
1996 saw PIXAR debut on the big screen with Toy Story, DVD’s launched on the small screen for the first time in Japan, the Spice Girls and Celine Dion were dominating the billboard charts, while Micheal Jordan and the Bulls were claiming yet another championship.

First USA Trailer Exports
1997 saw the first USA trailer exports from Magnum for both port and highway trailers.
