    The roots of Magnum Trailer go all the way back to 1984 when Bob and Ted Willock purchased P&K Welding and from it created a new company, Magnum Trailer.

    In spring of 1984 the first trailer is built by Magnum at the original Abbotsford location. This trailer required an innovative solution to a customer challenge which has become a hallmark of Magnum Trailer. Pictured is one of the first Magnum Trailers built.

    1984 had many incredible moments and debuts, including ours! Ghostbusters, Temple of Doom, Gremlins, and The Karate Kid topped the box office, Purple Rain spent the most time on the Billboard Top 100 followed by Michael Jackson’s Thriller,  the Footloose soundtrack and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA.

    In 1990, Magnum required a new site to fit the increasing needs of both the trailer and service departments. A new suitable location was found nearby on Riverside Road in Abbotsford.

    1990, an unforgettable year. Home Alone dominated the Box Office, the 49ers won the most lopsided Super Bowl in history, Buster Douglas did the unthinkable by knocking out Mike Tyson, the Berlin Wall fell, and Magnum Trailer achieved 100% market share for port trailers on the West Coast of Canada.
