Territory Sales Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: A ground breaking opportunity to help develop and contribute to aggressive sales growth and dealer network expansion plans in Central/Eastern Canada and Eastern U.S.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with existing dealers to grow current and continually create additional business
  • Help to develop then execute strategies to aggressively expand business/distribution of Magnum products throughout assigned territory
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and targets
  • Strategically plan and organize work and travel schedule, in advance, for efficiency and effectiveness, travelling as often as required to achieve goals
  • Attend industry trade shows and events as required, may involve travel on some weekends
  • Stay on top of industry and market trends and identify possible opportunities for company growth
  • Analyze and report on competitive activity in the marketplace
  • Monitor sales versus forecasts and implement initiatives and action plans to correct any deficiencies
  • Provide customer feedback to management, positive or negative, to enable continuous improvement and growth
  • Provide “end to end” sales and service to customers, from entering orders through to after sales follow up and service
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely, efficient, productive and professional manner
  • Provide input into and assist with the development of sales, marketing, promotional and pricing programs
  • Create effective product knowledge, training materials and presentations
  • Deliver training to dealers and customers in person and through webinars
  • Ensure product brochures and literature are up to date and effectively distributed
  • Ensure point of purchase product and marketing materials are available and being effectively utilized
  • Assist with developing sales projections and territory targets
  • Provide input into new product development
  • Collaborate closely with sales colleagues, management, manufacturing and other divisions to innovate, solve problems, share best practices, and promote teamwork
  • Partner closely with OEM (eg. Volvo, Freightliner) District Managers to increase advocacy for and sales of Magnum products
  • Display a high level of professionalism and always act in alignment with the company’s values, mission, and vision

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years senior level B2B/B2C outside sales experience, in a related industry is an asset
  • Proven track record of sales/business development in a high growth environment
  • Relentlessly driven to seek new business with a sense of urgency
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong strategic thinking, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication (in both official languages is preferred)
  • Proficient in general computing and MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Focussed on solving problems and continuous improvement, as opposed to just finding and reporting problems
  • Ability to work both autonomously and cross functionally
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to do what you say you are going to do

COMPENSATION:

  • Competitive Base Salary + uncapped commission potential
